Redesigning the Redesign

For better or for worse, I chose to redesign the “all white” view not long after I had finished it. And I went back to the latest post snippet rather than the full article. I think this site was much better than the prior version, but it eventually grew old as well.

I was beginning to learn a lot more about Rails, and the thought of some of the back-end coding I had written was repulsive. It was to the point where refactoring wasn’t really worth my time, and I could probably just re-write it faster. Eventually, that’s what I did.

I think this site, albeit not the greatest design, did at least provide some separation between the posts and metadata about the site. Oh, and this version implemented caching of the API stuff, so it loaded about 20x faster I’d say (yeah, literally).
