Choosing Interests

I’ve integrated Footprints with NLA. Since NLA is an association offering online content (courses), I needed a way to provide the users a list of content related to their interests.

So, the “topics” can be managed by a higher-up on the admin side, which makes this the end-user’s view. Each user will have the ability to choose which topics interest them the most. Once they have made their selections, Footprints will begin matching content with each interns interests (FYI: there are between 30-50 topics for real).

(Note: this was a requirement by those who get to choose the requirements)

NASA Footprints is an application we are building for NASA. It fits in nicely with their recent redesign.

The name “Footprints” came from the idea of tracking, if that makes sense (wasn’t my idea). The whole application really revolves around user profiles and user management. NASA will use it to maintain the history of their interns and the various programs they were (or are currently) involved in.

This first run is more-or-less a demo/prototype, but it’s fully functional thus far. It has been handed off to a focus group in order to collect more feedback and provide better direction for the future. I’ll post more updates/screenshots here as the application builds out.
