Professional Project NASA Footprints
A recent addition to Footprints is the Mailer. It allows an admin or manager to email a mass group of people at once. You can see the selections to the left-hand side.
This shot is showing a view of the “Send to a Group” option. If an Admin is logged in, all Footprints groups will be available in the dropdown. If a Manager is logged in, only the groups in which they’re a manager of will be presented. Then, once a group is chosen, it’s optional to send to all members, current members, or past members of the group.
The choices on the side are toggled via javascript, and they mainly update the “To:” section. As a new choice is selected, the row (or selection) will become blue and the “To:” block will highlight yellow and fade out to give a little more notice as to what has changed.
For the first three choices (top to bottom) it just display the text of the action being done. So if “Send to all interns?” is chosen, the “To:” will say, “Sending to all interns…”
The other two sections, individuals and groups, have a drop down for selection, and that data is restricted by role.
Note: search skillsets in the sidebar is also a newly added feature. It’s only available to admins.
