Before, I had cached Flickr photos here. On Flickr, I would tag a photo with ‘portfolio’ and it would show up here. Well, that’s no longer the case.

Rather than get rid of everything, I chose to RESTfully pull in the top 15 photos from the portfolio. So, as I add new photos, they automatically show up here, too. You can click on the preview link to show a lightbox view of the image.

The projects work the same way, only without the lightbox preview.

This is my personal site. It’s nothing special, but as a web developer, I feel that it’s important for me to have. I mostly ramble about programming-related issues, which works out because I often go back and reference them later. Plus, I’ve received a ton of help over the years via the comments.

I don’t like to think of myself as a “blogger”. I actually despise that word. I rarely say it (I don’t really like having the “Blog” link in the footer of this very portfolio, but it’s a common buzzword that most people are now aware of). I do enjoy writing, but if I wasn’t a web developer/designer, I wouldn’t be writing (or “blogging”) at all.

This site was built in Ruby on Rails and is running Rails 2.0.2 at the time of this writing. The code base is also a RESTful design.
