This is the settings form. As you can see, I’ve specified a few default tasks (works the same as the estimate form itself – add/remove tasks inline).

I won’t go into too much detail, here, as it’s pretty obvious what’s going on. But I will mention the “remove all default tasks” option. When clicking that, it will disable all tasks visually, and when you save, wipe out any default tasks that you had created. Again, it’s for convenience. (much faster than clicking the minus on each task :-)

Ballpark It is an application that solves a single problem: creating project estimates for potential clients.

It’s essentially a tool that allows you to organize a group of project tasks, where each task has “hours” and “rate” associated with it. The tasks are tallied up as you type, so you can get a feel for how your estimate is coming.

There are several convenient things that make creating estimates a breeze. For instance, you can specify a default rate in your settings to be used for all new estimates. In addition to that, you can specify default tasks, either on the fly or in the settings.

Probably the most beneficial part of this tiny application is the ability to show an estimate to anyone, regardless of whether or not they have an account. Just send them the public URL to your estimate!
