As a programmer and true believer in giving back to the (open-source) community, I thought it was fitting to list my public projects on my portfolio. So that’s what this is.

I’m using the GitHub API and jQuery to pull in my projects on the fly. That way everything is up-to-date as according to my repositories on GitHub.

I’ve been longing for a place to store a few of the noteworthy projects I’ve had a hand in. I’m glad I finally took the time to develop a stand-alone digital portfolio.

I decided to add photos and art to my portfolio as well. I have several framed drawings and paintings that I’ve done, but getting them to a digital format will be challenging (mostly because I’m too lazy to do it). So, don’t expect too many artsy entries, it will be mostly photographs.

This application is a RESTful design and built using Ruby on Rails. I’m using jQuery instead of the standard prototype/script.aculo.us in which all the Rails helpers are built upon.

And as for the grunge look with the paint splatters and coffee stains, who knows. I tried something new and just ran with it. Overall, I think it turned out pretty good.
