Back in 2002, apparently I thought Chinese symbols were cool. I still love this painting, but the Chinese symbols completely ruin it. Oh well.
Can you guess what it is? It actually says my name. I understand if you have to dig deep down into your deciphering skills to make it out, but once you see it, it becomes apparent.
The branches have a rigid “cartoony” feel to them, which was intentional. I think they’re perfect for the painting, it’s just those damn Chinese symbols.
I could have taken them out in Photoshop, but that would have been cheating :-)
